“Flüsterpost” is a project in continuous evolution which spreads with multiple modalities the poem “Wanderer” by Giuseppe Ungaretti. The protagonist – accompanied by the constant feeling of not belonging to any country – lives the unending research of an innocent land. He moves hoping to find one but he always leaves the countries in which he lived feeling as a stranger. Ten expats have been involved and recorded while reciting the poem Girovago by Giuseppe Ungaretti in their native languages: Italian, English, Mandarin, Hindi, Spanish, Arabic, French, German, Hebrew, Georgian. The number of people involved is destined to grow because more languages will be added. >>> continues below

^(ITA)“Flüsterpost" è un progetto in continua evoluzione che diffonde attraverso molteplici modalità la poesia "Girovago" di Giuseppe Ungaretti. Il protagonista – accompagnato dalla costante sensazione di non appartenere a nessun luogo – vive l'incessante ricerca di una terra innocente. Si sposta nella speranza di trovarne una, ma lascia sempre i Paesi in cui ha vissuto sentendosi straniero. Dieci espatriati sono stati coinvolti e registrati mentre recitavano la poesia Girovago di Giuseppe Ungaretti nelle loro lingue d'origine: Italiano, inglese, mandarino, hindi, spagnolo, arabo, francese, tedesco, ebraico, georgiano. The project consists of several elements: “Flüsterpost” is an audio composition with the recitations of the poem in ten different languages which play separately one after each other. As soon as the poem is recited in all the languages, the recordings start to overlap each other until creating a choir of voices: a community of people that tells the feeling of being foreigner.
Each time the project is exhibited, a new edition of soccer scarves containing the last verse of the poem “I seek an innocent Land”  in two different languages, is produced.
The scarves are the pretext to spread the feelings of the protagonist of the poem and create a community of people which support each other. >>> continues below

^(ITA) Il progetto si compone di diversi elementi: "Flüsterpost" è una composizione audio con le recitazioni della poesia in dieci lingue diverse che vengono riprodotte separatamente una dopo l'altra. Non appena la poesia viene recitata in tutte le lingue, le registrazioni iniziano a sovrapporsi fino a creare un coro di voci: una comunità di persone che racconta la sensazione di essere straniera. Ogni volta che il progetto viene esposto, viene prodotta una nuova edizione di sciarpe da calcio contenenti l'ultimo verso della poesia "Cerco un paese innocente" in due lingue diverse. Le sciarpe sono il pretesto per diffondere i sentimenti del protagonista della poesia e creare una comunità di persone che si sostengono a vicenda. >>> continua sotto

Another constant element of the project is a libretto, available to the public and containing all the translations of the poem. The booklet is designed to help visitors follow the audio composition in the languages they know and familiarize with the unknown alphabets. According to the context where the project has been shown – alongside the audio composition, the soccer scarves and booklets – other elements have been used for the poem spreading process, including: temporary tattoos applied by a performer on the skin of visitors, stamps, takeaway posters and banners.

“Flüsterpost” is dedicated to all the people who leaves their country.

^(ITA)Un altro elemento costante del progetto è un libretto, disponibile al pubblico e contenente tutte le traduzioni della poesia. Il libretto è pensato per aiutare i visitatori a seguire la composizione audio nelle lingue che conoscono e a familiarizzare con gli alfabeti sconosciuti. A seconda del contesto in cui il progetto è stato esposto – oltre alla composizione audio, alle sciarpe da calcio e ai libretti – sono stati utilizzati altri elementi per il processo di diffusione della poesia, tra cui: tatuaggi temporanei applicati da un performer sulla pelle dei visitatori, francobolli, poster e striscioni.

"Flüsterpost" è dedicata a tutte le persone che lasciano il proprio paese.
