“Greetings from Kenya to Europe” is a display case that
contains a colony of one hundred sub-adult migratory locusts
and a Lonely Planet guide to Kenya. The work was created at the beginning of 2020, a time when
first China, and then Europe, began to come to terms wit the pandemic. At the same time, the Horn of Africa and Kenya
in particular were experiencing the largest locust invasion
recorded in 75 years.
Swarms 2,400 kilometres large, almost twice the size of the city of Rome, swept through north-eastern Kenya, swarms so large that they numbered up to 19 million insects that in one day can eat the amount of food that 90 million people would consume.

locuste migratorie sub adulte e una guida Lonely Planet del Kenya. L'opera è stata
realizzata all'inizio del 2020, un momento in cui prima la Cina e poi l'Europa iniziavano a
