“I was here” is one of those writings people see on city
walls, monuments and park benches. It represents the need to leave a sign behind to underline
the fact of being in a certain place. We do this because,
once we abandon this site, we like to think that this sign will
survive, even after we’re gone. I took a picture from a cliff
at ByronBay, the eastern most tip of Australia in the Pacific.
A sound designer imagined the noise coming from that ocean, which he never visited: he created a vibration that is perceived on the surface of the satin, which touches the subwoofer.

monumenti e sulle panchine dei parchi e rappresenta la necessità di lasciare
un segno per sottolineare il fatto di essere in un certo luogo. Lo scriviamo
perché, una volta abbandonato il luogo, ci piace pensare che questo segno
sopravviverà anche dopo la nostra partenza. Ho scattato una foto da una
scogliera di Byron Bay, la punta più orientale dell'Australia nel Pacifico. Un
sound designer ha immaginato il rumore proveniente da quell'oceano, che non
ha mai visitato: ha creato una vibrazione che viene percepita sulla superficie del
raso, che tocca il subwoofer.
