Sorry Mom is an installation that includes a blue lighting, a text written on the floor in the form of a spiral, an essence of roses diffused in space, a video to watch while lying on a white soft sculpture and a soundscape.
The heart of the work is a spiral text present on the floor in which the figure of a potential victim and that of a potential perpetrator interchange continually confusing the reader, who, in order to read the verses, must move in circles in an ever-tightening spiral, unknowingly becoming a performer.
A large white and soft sculpture of the proportions of a Xanax tablet is placed diagonally to the left of the text. Lying on it, one is as if swallowed by the softness and comfort of the object itself from where watching a video projection in which the succession of events materialize from the text on the floor. A three-story scaffolding imposes itself in the space as a sculptural element on which rappers "Rilla" and Gündalein performed. >>> continues below

morbida e un soundscape.
Il centro del lavoro è il testo a spirale in cui la figura di una potenziale vittima e quella di un potenziale aggressore si scambiano continuamente, confondendo il lettore che per leggerene i versi, deve muoversi in cerchio in una spirale sempre più stretta, diventando inconsapevolmente un performer.
Una grande scultura bianca e morbida delle proporzioni di una compressa di Xanax è posta in diagonale a destra del testo. Sdraiandosi su di essa si è come inghiottiti dalla morbidezza e dal comfort dell'oggetto stesso sopra il quale si trova una proiezione video in cui si assiste al susseguirsi degli eventi che si materializzano dal testo sul pavimento. Sorry Mom starts from reflections on two poems dedicated to mothers: “The Ballad of Mothers” and “Supplication to My Mother” by Pier Paolo Pasolini and contained in "Poetry in the Form of a Rose" published by Garzanti in 1964.
The poem “The Ballad of Mothers” opens with the line “I wonder what Mothers you have had” with this line it is as if Pasolini humanizes the figure of the aggressor and makes us reflect on the fact that the aggressors, perhaps, have themselves been victims and know the pain that comes with being a victim.
Building on this concept of “chain of violence” the installation is articulated through different elements placed in the space and a performance by the rapper Noah "Rilla" Kretschmann who starting from the text in the spiral wrote a song dedicated to the project and which in a loop can be heard in the space interspersed with Luca Napoli’s soundscape which in turn is a musical work on the rapper’s track.
(ITA)Sorry Mom parte dalla riflessione su due poesie dedicate alle madri: "La ballata delle madri" e "Supplica a mia madre" di Pier Paolo Pasolini e contenute in "Poesia in forma di rosa" pubblicata da Garzanti nel 1964. La poesia "La ballata delle madri" si apre con il verso "Mi chiedo quali madri avete avuto". Con questo verso è come se Pasolini umanizzasse la figura dell'aggressore e ci facesse riflettere sul fatto che gli aggressori, forse, sono stati essi stessi vittime e conoscono il dolore che deriva dall'essere vittima. Partendo da questo concetto di "catena di violenza", l'installazione si articola attraverso diversi elementi collocati nello spazio e una performance del rapper Noah "Rilla" Kretschmann che, partendo dal testo della spirale, ha scritto una canzone dedicata al progetto e che, in loop, si può ascoltare nello spazio intervallata dalla colonna sonora di Luca Napoli che, a sua volta, è un lavoro musicale sul brano del rapper.
